Hello lovely people,
Whooosh! That's the weekend flying by again! We spent a lovely Saturday with my 2 sister-in-laws, 3 nephews and 1 niece, and then on Sunday I was busy crafting items for my very first Craft Fayre in just 5 days time! It's been fun creating some non-card projects and of course I will share all of them with you in due course!
In the meantime, I have a card to share with you using some gorgeous goodies from The Ribbon Girl (see list at the end of my post for all the details).

Despite all the pretty flowers and beaded bits, this somehow still ended up more CAS than I had envisaged, but I tried adding more and it didn't work for me so it is what it is!
These papers are such gorgeous frosty colours and I just knew they would work well with the chipboard tree...although I did have to hunt high and low for where I had 'safely' stashed the tree after I bought it - lol!
I've stacked up a few circular die cut frames to give a little height and layered a stitched die cut circle inside.
I dabbed white acrylic paint onto the tree and star, and then added sparkle to the stars on the tree and over the flowers using a Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen. I've got a clear Wink of Stella pen but I think the SN pen seems a bit more sparkly...although both are very camera shy - lol!

This is a gorgeous card Kat, absolutely love the papers...beautiful colours and the tree is fab.
ReplyDeleteBy the way when the credit card statement comes this month I am totally blaming you for the rather large LOTV purchase I made the other day ;) Of course I 'had' to get the Odd Dog digi bundle and few other stamps accidently fell in the basket at the same time Lol
Hugs, Kaz xx
This is beautiful, love the tree. I haven't tried the SN sparkle pens but live the Wink of Stella. They do need a good shake sometimes to get the sparkle flowing. The white one is lovely you should try it. Good luck with your first craft fayre x
ReplyDeleteA very pretty winter card, I don't think it needs a thing more added to it!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I'm not the only one who 'misplaces' what they buy lol xx
This is gorgeous Kat, love the pretty papers and the fab tree.
ReplyDeleteHope your craft fair goes well.

Kat, I love that little tree (even though it's a bit naughty hiding like that). You always pick the perfect elements to support your featured image or in this case chipboard tree. These papers are gorgeous!

This is such a beautiful card Kat... you may have wanted to add more but personally I think it's absolutely perfect as it is... so elegant and stunning!! I LOVE that chipboard tree - perfect as the centre piece instead of an image... and the papers are so gorgeously delicate and truly compliment the design!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with the Craft Fayre - I'm sure you'll all do well and just wish I could pop in to say Hi!!

Gorgeous! Love those papers. What really grabbed my attention though was the fabulous neat bow at the side- button twine on top of white ribbon & dear little star button. Then sentiment tucked in widely. So effective & beautifully done. Mum x
ReplyDeleteThat was supposed to read 'sentiment tucked in nicely' !
ReplyDeleteBeautifully elegant. Love the design and flowers around the frame.
ReplyDelete(catching up and behind the times as per usual!)
