Tiny mouse

Hello lovely people,

We have a new 'Use any image' challenge starting over on The Ribbon Girl blog, so you can enter with any type of project as long as you include an image.
There are some lovely prizes on offer so I do hope you can come and join us :-)

Rustic card using Three Kind Mice stamp from LOTV

This is a pretty dinky image but oh so cute, and I had a feeling the little mouse would look lovely with these gorgeous floral papers from Maja Design.

Since the image is small, so is my card, and I just added a few flowers, twine and a beautiful metal charm.

Beautiful ballerina

Hello lovely people,

I promised I'd have a few more projects for you this week and today's is a card using some gorgeous goodies from The Ribbon Girl.

I've used this paper pad quite a lot because it has the prettiest softest shades of blue and pink which are perfect for girly cards.  Also, I often find that the patterns on 12x12 inch papers are a bit big for cards but this one is perfect.

The image is a fairly recently released one from LOTV and I think she is simply adorable; doesn't every little girl want to be a ballerina or a fairy...or both?!

This was a fairly classic design for me with the flower clusters but I did add a couple of sequins, which is something a bit new for me!

Thank you to the fabulous friend who gave me a little gift of sparkly brads, which were so perfectly matching in colour for this project :-)

Studying hard

Hello lovely people,

Is everyone getting nice and warm now?!  I am soooooo hoping for a long sunny bank holiday weekend :-)

This is the last DT card I have made so far for the launch of all those fabulous new LOTV images.  I am not surprised that they have been hugely popular so far.  I know there are loads more I can't wait to use!

This is a fantastic image for good luck cards and especially at this time of year as many kids/teenagers start to get their heads down and study for exams...I'm glad those days are behind me - lol!

Jasmine seems to have it all under control with everything organised and her books carefully marked with little flags.  I used to do that too!

I found the perfect little tab detail in one of my MFT Blueprint sets.  I absolutely love how useful these are and can feel a new addiction coming on!

The sentiment banner is from a different MFT Blueprints set...see, sooooo useful!

More new LOTV: Two's company

Hello lovely people,

Ok, I promised you all I would have another LOTV Design Team project for you on Sunday, but realised I had another blog post scheduled for then, so I delayed it until today.

This one uses many of the same elements as my card from Saturday, but a slightly simpler design with no stitching.

I think you'll agree that the image is just as super cute though!

I added a fab set of stitched basic and scalloped edges by MFT (of course!) to my collection a few weeks ago so thought I'd take the opportunity to use them on this design :-)

I wish you all a great week ahead even if you have to work...I know I do!

LOTV Retro Girls

Hello lovely people,

Have you seen the super cool new Retro Girls images from LOTV yet?

Ok, you can't actually get your hands on them until 3rd April, but then they will be available as Simply Print sheets, digi images and pre-order of rubber stamps.

I finally grabbed a few hours to play with them and thought it would be fun to make a matching set using one of the pair from each decade.

I'm sharing the whole set at once because I do think they look good all together...and I'm too lazy to write 4 separate blog posts for them - lol!

Bunny blooms

Hello lovely people,

Today I have a card using a few pretty things from The Ribbon Girl, although surprisingly none of their lovely flowers this time.

I decided that no flowers were needed since the daffodils seemed to have that angle well and truly covered!

Easter/Spring card in yellow with LOTV image Bunny Blooms

This is one of the latest release from LOTV and for someone who doesn't really like yellow, I am finding myself drawn to the images with daffodils in...I think it must be because they are such a classic sign of Spring!

Since I wasn't adding any flowers I added a bit of detail with some die cuts, a few hints of cheesecloth, and a layered combo of lace, ribbon and twine.
