Bloomin' Birthday

Hello lovely people,

I am sooooo happy that it's Friday and am looking forward to catching up with friends tonight and tomorrow and then a chilled out Sunday.

I do love Springtime with all the pretty flowers and brighter days and I think this is reflected in my Dies to Die For DT card this week!

The stamp set I used has some lovely patterned welly boots but I chose the plain version for my card so that I could stamp them on the stripy DP...and ooooh, I would LOVE a pair of wellies like these!

The sentiment is also from the set and I've tucked it into a memo pin, then used flowers to cover the sharp end.

I've been mixing and matching MFT papers again, so the chevron and stripy boots are from the Sweet Celebration pad, the plaid is from (unsurpisingly!) the Plaid patterns merry & bright pad, and the green spotty is from the Lucky Prints pad.  Phew, that's a lot of pads...but isn't it fab how well they go together?

Oh, and the leaves are from a Lawn Fawn pad called Let's Polka in the meadow, and the flowers are scraps from my stash!

If I've tempted you with any of the lovely supplies I've used then you can go straight to the individual products via the thumbnails at the end of my post or just pop over to Dies to Die For and have a little browse around!

I wish you all a fabulous weekend whatever you are getting up to :-)

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,

Little gardener

Hello lovely people,

I am enjoying my week off immensely even though I haven't actually done any crafting!

So, my card today is not a brand new one, but one I made a few weeks ago for a work colleague to give to her husband for a special birthday.

Fortunately the image is so large and detailed that I didn't have to worry about filling the gaps on the card other than adding the name and age, but I think the fence detail works really well.

I was making this card in a bit of a rush so I didn't write down my Copic colours but I can tell you I had a lot of fun with the colouring as it's such a sweet image.

I've used the digi image for my card but you can also find it in rubber if you prefer.

I hope you are all having a good week whatever you are doing.

Autumn treats from LOTV

Hello lovely people,

It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Gloucestershire and I am just back from my Wednesday 'coffee date' with Dr. Hubby; we like to walk into the village once a week and treat ourselves to coffee (tea for Dr. Hubby!) and cake (carrot cake today - yummy).

So, I'm in a good mood now, and hopefully news of a fantastic sale at LOTV will put you in a good mood too.  Starting right now and running through until Sunday, there are brilliant offers available on selected rubber stamps, art pads and paper pads.

We are also having a Facebook challenge where we want to see your creations using any of the special offer stamps and of course, there are wonderful prizes on offer so we hope you can join us for that :-)

Here's a little inspiration using one of the special offer images and I kept it really simple for this design as I love the paper far too much to cover it up!

This cute image fell into my basket during one of my shopping sessions at LOTV several months ago but I hadn't got around to inking it up, so this was a perfect opportunity to do so.

I've made a cute girly card but this image would work well for men too...just without the flowers and all that pink!
