Hello lovely people,
This week is fast getting away with me! I like being busy but I feel like I'm keeping rather a lot of plates spinning at the moment.
So huge apologies for not being round to visit your blogs as much at the moment and I'll be popping round soon I hope.

Right now though we have a new challenge starting at In The Pink and our theme this time is...
SPECIAL LADY
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!
Our fabulous sponsor this time is Dies to Die For with a £10 voucher
I made this card for one of my sisters-in-law, who is fab with a sewing machine, and is of course, a special lady :-)
Of course I had to include my usual stitching on this card but thought I'd do a few variations on my usual straight line backstitch so I also did some wavy stitching and some zig zag stitching.
I have a huge stash of buttons but totally ignored them in favour of these die cut versions because I just really like the Kraft card against the pretty papers.

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,
Wow this is gorgeous. I do love sewing themed cards as you know. Those scissors are so cute and I love the kraft buttons. I do like to thread my buttons. Love the various stitches, especially the wavy ones. This is a card to treasure
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always xxx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card Kat...love the pink and craft and as always great attention to all those little details...who wouldn't want to receive a card like this!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the different stitches you have incorporated here Kat and the beautiful flowers and themed embellishments have created the most gorgeous card. I think kraft seems to 'go' with lots of colours and is a great alternative to white or cream, it's looks lovely here against the pink.

Fabulous card Kat, love the sewing theme and patchwork background. Super embellishments. Hugs Jennifer xx
ReplyDeleteI love this sewing themed card Kat... the wonky stitching looks really good (like the MFT wonky stitching dies!), as does the patchwork paper, and the little embellies... particularly love how you put the sentiment coming off the spool! Clever design around a lovely image - we're going to miss Pink Petticoat aren't we?
ReplyDeleteBig hugs

Love that fab colour combo Kat! Lovely patchwork paper, brilliant for this sweet image. Love the wee cotton reel and the sentiment wrapped round it, looks fab. Very cool with the wide zigzag stitch around the edge too. Just gorgeous hunny. Loved your fab wisteria toned card last week using this same sweet image too. Both utterly gorgeous. The buttons and blooms are such a lovely finish. Big hugs, Wends x
