CAS floral card for Mum

Hello lovely people,

I'm flying by with a DT card this morning...

It's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme this is...

SPECIAL LADY
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our fabulous sponsor this time is...

I made the MUM up from some word dies that just happened to include an M and a U...very handy!

I promise that IRL the letters are all straight (I used a ruler to line them up!), but I think they have gone wonky looking in the photo editing process.  I am extremely good at taking wonky photos so have learnt to stretch the photo corners so it's all nice and square...however, in this case I think that made the lettering go wonky - oops!

I am so much happier making CAS cards than I used to be and I think it's all about having the right stash...any excuse to buy more things, right?!

In the case of this card, I do have a few flower dies but decided you can never have too many so I got a few Sue Wilson sets.  I use one set on this card, and they are fab because there are lots of different sizes of flower, so are perfect for layering :-)

I also seem to have got the card to look a totally different pink in the 2 photos; the light was awful when I took the photos and the different angles have affected the colour loads!  I think the first photo is closest to the real pink.

Magical unicorn

Hello lovely people,

Did you all have a lovely Valentine's Day?

Dr. Hubby is working away for a few days this week including Valentine's Day and to be honest, we don't really do cards/presents for each other anyway.

He's back tomorrow evening and I have Friday off work so we can enjoy a long weekend together.  I'm really looking forward to that, especially as it might even include going for a little coffee and cake date ;-)

Ok, down to business and we have a new challenge for you at In The Pink and our theme this time is...
DIES +/or PUNCHES
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our sponsor this time is the super fabulous Dies to Die For with a HUGE prize of a £15 voucher!
I knew I had to have these unicorns the moment I set eyes on them and of course the first one I did just *had* to be pink!

I am in utter amazement that for once the sparkle I added to the wings and horn is showing nicely in the photo!

I don't often use punches but I can't imagine crafting without my huge collection of dies!

The frame plus corners idea is something you're going to see again very soon...I guess I really liked the way it turned out - lol!

Wool you be mine?

Hello lovely people,

I hope you are all having a good week so far.

I had a day off on Monday after spending the day on Sunday helping out at the Dies to Die For stand at the Sincerely Yours papercraft show in Thetford.  I had a fabulous day out with my crafty buddies, and I may have bought a few bits and pieces that I found I 'needed' ;-)

It's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme is...

WITH LOVE
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our lovely sponsor this time is Di's Digi Stamps with a $12 voucher

Amongst my purchases on Sunday, I couldn't resist adding to my collection of MFT cute critters, so my card today is a really simple one using one of the adorable sheep that came home with me!

I wasn't entirely sure how I would colour the fluffy wool, but it was actually super easy to do with just a few flicks to suggest a bit of texture.

It's always a bit of a blow to the credit card to get the matching dies but I can honestly say it's a good investment because I really love to cut those critters out and pop them on foam pads.

Dr. Hubby was so not impressed with the punny sentiment but it made me giggle!

The scallop frame and stitched hillside are also new additions to my stash ;-)

Little flower fairy

Hello lovely people,

This is hump day for me after my usual Wednesday off and already I can't wait for the weekend to come around!

I was feeling a little mojo-less yesterday so didn't do much crafting but Dr. Hubby and I did finish watching the last few episodes of series 6 of Game of Thrones...very exciting!

Also very exciting of course is that we have a new challenge for you at In The Pink and our theme this time is...

WHAT'S NEW?
So, we want to see a card celebrating something new e.g. new baby, new home, or a card with some new stash on it
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our fabulous sponsor this time is The Ribbon Girl
They have generously provided this gorgeous paper pad as a prize for the winner; isn't that just sooooo pretty!

I have taken the opportunity to use some new stash so here we have a gorgeous new stamp and new lace on my card :-)

In contrast, the papers are very old ones that I just love with a little distressing to the edges.

This cute little fairy comes with a friend in the same set so hopefully I'll have chance to use her soon too.

I've coloured her with Inktense pencils...under close scrutiny from some crafty friends - lol!

Isn't that lace absolutely gorgeous?  The rest of the embellies are fairly standard for me and the tiny pink blobs are from a stamen cluster that I pulled apart!

Thank you!

Hello lovely people,

Are any of you making New Years Resolutions?!

I usually don't because I know I won't keep them, especially if they are anything along the lines of 'be more organised'!

So, I think this year I will just try to do more of what makes me happy, and try not to overthink things or worry about things so much...but that's absolutely *not* a resolution ;-)

Anything pink certainly makes me happy so I'm off to a good start here...

It's time for our first challenge of 2017 at In The Pink so we've made it really easy for you with the theme...

ANYTHING GOES!
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our fabulous sponsor this time is All Dressed Up with a prize of 2 digis of the winner's choice.

There was a lovely sentiment set free with Cardmaking and Papercraft this month, which I couldn't wait to use, and thought I'd challenge myself to make one of them the focal point of my card.

I have used some utterly gorgeous new papers too :-)

Pink floral thank you card

I find that free stamps don't always stamp brilliantly, but I primed these by rubbing a rubber over them first and found that stamping them with Versafine gave a better result than Memento.

In the end I used a grey ink to match better with the soft colours of the card.

I 'acquired' this pretty lattice effect die from a wonderful friend and thought it made a pretty backdrop for my sentiment.

Winter fairy

Hello lovely people,

I'm going to get straight down to business today...

We have a new challenge starting at In The Pink and our theme this time is...

CHRISTMAS
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our fabulous sponsor this time is Polkadoodles with a £6.75 voucher

I kept this pretty simple because it's nice to give the image 'room to breathe' and I think you'll agree that this lovely new die really makes a statement too!
The double stitched circle die is also new ;-)

Fairy Christmas card (image from Polkadoodles)

This gorgeous image is from the Polkadoodles Winnie Winterland collection and I reckon she looks so pretty in pink.

I've added a subtle sparkle to the stars, headband and present ribbon with a Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen...use your imagination - lol!

I've used one of my new favourite products which is the sparkly twine from The Ribbon Girl...this is soooo gorgeous!  The snowflakes are new in stock at The Ribbon Girl and are the nicest design I have ever seen...and I've purchased quite a few snowflake charms over the years!

Odd Dog with flowers

Hello lovely people,

I am hoping to have a productive crafting day today but first I have a little DT project to share with you.

It's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme is...

CUTE AND CUDDLY
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our fabulous sponsor this time is the fabulous Dies to Die For with a £10 voucher

I used a fair few new bits of stash on this card, which I always love to do.  The papers are old but new to me, and the frame and flower dies are new too :-)

Pink card with die cut details and LOTV image 'Odd Dog - bunches of love'

Odd dog is most definitely cute and cuddly and you can find this image plus loads more gorgeous new Odd Dog digis over at LOTV :-)

For this card I printed the digi image quite small but you can see that it still looks great on a standard 14.5cm square card.
