Thoroughly Modern Misses from LOTV

Hello lovely people,

I have something very exciting to share with you today...we have NEW images on the way from LOTV so myself and the rest of the Design Team will be sharing some sneak peeks with you over the next week until their launch on Mon 23rd October.

We are introducing the Thoroughly Modern Misses; there's one for each month of the year so I thought it appropriate to start with November!

WARNING!!!  They are a little bit different so I'll just show you my card and then we can talk...

Now, I know some of you will be a bit taken aback by the lack of facial features other than eyes but I have totally been won over by the gorgeous modern style of the images and the fabulous clothing and am loving them.

I've given this little lady a long coat but it could just as easily be a jacket over a skirt/dress, and you could give her tights instead of bare legs...so many choices!

Oh my goodness...I nearly forgot to mention that there are some beautiful new sentiments coming out too, and you can see one of them on my card here.

Acorn angel

Hello lovely people,

We have a new 'Use any image' challenge starting over on The Ribbon Girl blog, so you can enter with any type of project as long as you include an image.

It's well and truly Autumn here in the UK so I was inspired to dig out my cute MFT hedgehogs from last year to make this card.

I started by stamping a few acorns on white card and coloured those in.  Then I stamped, coloured and die cut a whole load more acorns to add with foam pads. Finally, I stamped, coloured and die cut the hedgehog to go on top...he is making an acorn angel!

I ended up shading the background too because it looked too bright white against the ivory and brown of the papers.

I really liked the simplicity of using all white cherry blossoms and blossom flowers to embellish...oh, and that uber cute little acorn charm...sooooo sweet!

Getting creative with a new DT spot!

Hello lovely people,

Well, this is very exciting...I am delighted to announce that I am joining the wonderful and talented DT at Creative Inspirations!
*happy dance*

Just don't tell Dr. Hubby because he already thinks I do too much crafting ;-)

For my first week on the team we have everyone's favourite theme...

ANYTHING GOES

with the option of a sketch

I decided to use the sketch because it really suited my style and I just added the extra detail of the fence along the bottom....
...and some extra flowers top left...
..oh, and my circle is a square!
I love sketches but do have a habit of tweaking them - lol!
Good job the sketch is optional, huh?!

This image has a lovely cosy Autumn feel to it...although I am not sure why she has gloves and a hat but an off the shoulder top - lol!
I am really starting to love colouring longer hair with lots of detail even though it takes a while to do, and practice will make perfect!
