Vintage racer

Hello lovely people,

Here we go again...a brand new week ahead and as usual I am full of plans to 'get things done.'  We'll see how well that went at the end of the week ;-)

I have another LOTV card to share with you today and the fab new images are really encouraging me to make more male designs.

Game on!

Hello lovely people,

I know you have all been waiting with baited breath for an update so I won't disappoint...

2 sleeps until the final exams for my prescribing course - double eek!

5 sleeps until beer festival

5 sleeps until my next coffee and cake date with my lovely friends Sue and Debs (date moved so now I get to have cake and a little natter followed by beer festival all on the same day!)

8 sleeps until holibobs

15 sleeps until my birthday

I hope you have all had some sunshine over the weekend; I have certainly been enjoying it, especially with a fab trip to Bourton-on-the-Water today for lunch with some family :-)

It was perfect weather for driving in the new car with the roof down and my new sunglasses :-)

Ok, ok, crafting yes...I do have a card to share!

I have been playing with another of the awesome new images from LOTV and after making a few cards with Jasmine, I thought it was Oliver's turn!

I wanted a softer look to the image to match the papers so I stamped the image with dark grey ink and used my Inktense pencils.
I was pretty happy with how it turned out, given I'm still a beginner with these pencils.

Just my type

Hello lovely people,

I'm busy busy with some custom orders at the moment; isn't it nice to be in demand?!

So, I'm just popping in really quickly with a cute little Valentine's Day card.

Handmade fun typewriter card

The typewriter image (now sadly unavailable) came with some individual pages with sentiments on and also a blank page image, so I chose a typewriter style font to add my own text to the blank page image, cut it out and put a thin foam pad underneath the top.

I was then able to use the same font for the word labels underneath so it's all nicely co-ordinated :-)

Copic colours;

Darker details on typewriter: W3/5/7

I hope you all have a good week :-)

A cheeky notebook

Hello lovely people,

Wow, my feet have hardly touched the ground for the last few days.  I had a fab bank holiday weekend with family and ate LOADS of cake :-)  My mum made some yummy carrot cake and I made chocolate orange cupcakes...

I have then been so busy making cards that I haven't had time to blog anything.  So, I thought I would just share this little notebook that I made.

The pages are all offcuts and the outer covers are from some brown cardboard packaging so I think I did well on the recycling front!  I used my bind-it-all to punch the holes and add the 3/4" wire binding.  You can just see in the next photo that I put pretty DP on the inside of the covers too.

The image was coloured with ProMarkers (done prior to my switch to Copics), then fussy cut and stuck to the front.  I put a layer of matt Mod Podge all over to keep it from getting scruffy when used.  That's also why there are no embellishments as I wanted to make it practical to use.

Card recipe;
Image: Cheeky Geeky from TGF
DP: Pink Paislee - Portfolio
Letters: cut with Cricut

I would like to enter this card in the Simon Says Stamp challenge which has the theme of 'Anything Goes' this week.

I hope you all had a wonderful time over the bank holiday and saw some of the lovely sunshine that we had here in Gloucestershire :-)

Thanks for visiting,

Hugs,
Kat xx
