Hello lovely people,
I did warn you that I could well be back for a third day in a row and here I am!
I survived another day in work yesterday and now have another couple of weeks off before my full return. I popped out at lunchtime to get my new glasses and am really pleased with them; well, they are purple! Much as I love pink I'm not sure about it for my glasses - lol! Dr. Hubby commented that they were very 'sexy schoolteacher!' so I think that's a compliment!
Enough of that though because today I have a card to share with you that I made with some gorgeous goodies from The Ribbon Girl.
We Ribbon Girls are allowed a little break in August, but I couldn't resist having a play with these beautiful new papers that are newly arrived at The Ribbon Girl; they have such a lovely vintage style and beautiful soft colour palette.
I was drawn to my Inktense pencils again for this image and was pretty happy with the result. I am thinking I might do a little post dedicated to Inktense to share my insights so far into using them, such as they are! Anyone fancy that?

I do love making criss cross cards, and that's another potential for a tutorial so I can show you the stand that I make for them and share my tips for attaching lace across the front.
I've made a large pull out tag; just a sweet and simple one with some little die cut hearts.
One more peek at the gorgeous flowers that I used and that scrummy lace, which I ended up covering quite a bit - oops!
I hope you all have a super bank holiday weekend :-)

Hi Kat, Another fabulous card such pretty papers and the mice are gorgeous. Love the card design and yes I would be interested in a tutorial on both the card and using the Intense pencils as I have purchased as set. Have a fab weekend Hugs Jennifer xx
ReplyDeleteI do so love these little mice Kat, and your card is just as adorable as they are! I recently got some intense pencils but can't get the same delicate finish that you have.....more practice needed for me I think.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time off before going back to the work force again!!

Big sigh...this is so beautiful...and count me in as a yes for the tutorials. As for the purple glasses, my personal thought is, if you must wear them, you might as well make a statement. Sexy school teacher is a good one to make! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteLoving those little 'meeces to pieces' to quote the cartoon character!! A gorgeous card Kat.. love the criss cross style with that fabulous insert. And your Inktense colouring is delicate perfection!
ReplyDeleteNow...... my specs have pink linings... so the pink actually faces my eyes!
Big hugs
