Good times

Hello lovely people,

I'm still on holibobs and loving every moment of this epic trip :-)

It's great that I am still able to share cards while I'm away though and today's card is one I made for a lovely friend who enjoys cycling.

I have prettied the bicycle image up with an explosion of flowers....I don't think you could actually ride this bike though - lol!

CAS floral bicycle card

I used some Card-io peg stamps for the flowers and added spots of sparkle to each flower centre.

I treated myself to these stamps at the last Hobbycrafts show and haven't had time to play much with them but they worked so beautifully for this design.

Hopefully you'll see lots more with them in future as I really love them :-)

Cute CAS bunnies

Hello lovely people,

It's time for a new challenge at As You Like It and our theme is...

YOUR FAVOURITE: BIG OR LITTLE BOWS
...and don't forget to tell us why it's your favourite!

Our sponsor this time is Sweet 'n Sassy stamps with a $10 voucher

I am a huge fan of bows but you will see that they are almost always tiny because I mostly use them to tie on sentiment tags.

My design is CASEd from my lovely blogging buddy Christine and you can find the gorgeous card that inspired me here!

I used part of a pre-cut scalloped card base to create a panel which I layered onto a square card base, using a few extra layers of card behind it to add dimension.

I made a few of these designs with different bunny images and different sentiment tags.

I cut the frame using a scalloped die and a circle die and added foam pads behind to raise it up a little, and popped on a sentiment tag at a jaunty angle.

Gamer Andy

Hello lovely people,

Today I have another commissioned card to share with you and this one was for a little boy who loves playing computer games.

I have to admit that stars are my 'go to' for adding detail to boys cards but in this case they worked especially well to match the stars on the DP.

I had a few images in mind for this card but this one was the winner and oh my gosh, isn't he adorable?!

Fairies make me happy!

Hello lovely people,

It's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme this time is...

HAPPY ANYTHING
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our fabulous sponsor this time is Dies to Die For with a £10 voucher

This card is to celebrate the happy occasion of a birthday and in addition it makes me very happy because it is so pretty and girly, and PINK!

Girly floral birthday card featuring Saturated Canary fairy

This is one of my most used Saturated Canary images because it is so beautiful, fun to colour, and works well for all ages I reckon.

The hair colour combo I have used is a real favourite for me at the moment as it has a nice high contrast and gorgeous warm tones.

Hopefully you can see the sparkle I added to the star and frill of the dress :-)

I can't resist showing you a close up shot of these scrummy flowers because I love them so much especially the teeny rosebuds and little white bobbly things (yep, that's the technical term!).

Baking apron

Hello lovely people,

It's Creative Inspirations challenge time and we have the theme...

SHAPE IT UP!
(NO SQUARE CARDS ALLOWED!)

Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is Live and Love Crafts with a £10 voucher

I have made a couple of apron shaped cards before and I really don't know why I don't make more of them because I always love the way they look and you can do quite a few themes with them.

As you can see, this one has a hint of a baking theme but is mostly just pretty and flowery!

Baking themed apron card

I used oval dies to create the apron shaped base card and the matching shaped piece of DP to cover the front.

I loved choosing the embellishments for this card and although I have used real lace for previous designs, the Kraft borders make a really good alternative.

The teeny rolling pin is my favourite bit of the card and is the perfect size to wrap a sentiment banner round :-)

Kitty cuddles

Hello lovely people,

Yep, I'm still on holibobs and I have lost track of the amazing sights that I have seen so far; I think there might be a lot of photos by the end!

I have a commissioned card to share with you that I made for a friend to give to her daughter and I have used some of my favourite Maja Design papers.

I see there is a brand new Maja Design collection just out and no surprise, it's gorgeous so that will be a 'must have' for me!

Lilac floral card with veterinary nurse girl (Time 4 Tea digi image)

The recipient of the card is a student veterinary nurse and I was asked to include a brown and white Jack Russell if possible...so I think I got that covered with this fabulous image!

I've used this layout before and it was perfect for this card to allow me to add all the details I wanted like the 21st birthday sentiment and the name.

I was almost done when I remembered that I had some tiny key charms so popped one of those on and it finished it perfectly.

Christmas in May?!

Hello lovely people,

It's time for a new challenge at As You Like It and our theme this time is...

YOUR FAVOURITE...PATTERNED OR EMBOSSED PAPER
...and don't forget to tell us why it's your favourite!

Our sponsor this time is All Dressed Up with 2 digi images of the winner's choice

Well this has to be the earliest I have ever made a Christmas card!

I was aiming for a shabby chic / Nordic style for this design so these yummy Maja papers were just the thing and I love how they even include little sentiment strips.

This image is so sweet and I've added a touch of sparkle to the furry details.

I love arranging flowers round a circular image as it's so easy to do and looks so pretty especially with a charm dangling at one end, and this teeny pine cone is pretty darn cute!

Butterfly wishes

Hello lovely people,

My holibobs is in full swing and I'll share some pics soon but for now I just wanted to stop by and share a card.

For ages I have been wanting to try out some card designs using just die cutting and large sentiment stamps and I finally did it!

I didn't even use any DP, just white card and aqua pearl card with a little embossing and some pearls to add some more texture and detail.

Elegant die cut card with large sentiment and butterflies

I got to use lots of my favourite dies especially the pretty butterflies and of course, I had to sneak in a little stitching too!
