Cake and flowers

Hello lovely people,

Today was spent celebrating my Mother-in-law's 65th birthday but you'll have to wait a bit to see her card!

Instead I have another birthday card to show you, made purely for a few challenges and for fun :-)

One of the challenges I am playing along with is As You Like It and they are asking us to use our fave type of stamp - rubber or digi.
I use both and love each type for different reasons but if I had to have just one it would probably be rubber.
Using a digi means fiddling around on the computer and then waiting for the ink to dry before I can colour it and well, I'm far too impatient for that sometimes!

Stamping Bella are one of my favourite rubber stamp collections as they are so stylish.
I cropped this image to fit my hand cut polaroid frame.

Then I loaded it up with girly embellies, including some yummy lace from my latest shopping spree at The Ribbon Girl :-)

    It's great to make a card that is just for ourselves sometimes and for fun. Making cards for orders is fine but there are usually restraints and themes that must be kept to and that sometimes impedes the creative flow I find but with 'just for fun cards' you can let it create it's own path as to where it will go.
    Your card is stunning Kat, the papers and embellishments are beautiful and the design is very pleasing to the eye. I love your colouring and colour choices here too. Hope you enjoyed your weekend.

    You know when you run out of words and lovely adjectives to describe a card you see? Well that's how I feel now. Saying 'this is gorgeous' isn't quite enough for this stunner...... I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! Uptown Girls are wonderful...... and WOW... you knocked this one out of the ball park! Fantascaliscious!! (((new word!)
