Hello lovely people,
It was my Mother-in-Law's 65th birthday at the weekend so that needed a really special card and after the success of my previous apron card (this one) I thought I'd do a sewing themed one.
It was my Mother-in-Law's 65th birthday at the weekend so that needed a really special card and after the success of my previous apron card (this one) I thought I'd do a sewing themed one.
I used bits and bobs from all over the place to fit the theme and when I couldn't find what I wanted I created my own, like the little button card and thread spools which I cut by hand and stamped.
I very nearly forgot to add a '65' so had to quickly add the little tab; not so easy to stitch in place with the pocket already stuck down!
I also made a matching tag to pop on her present :-)

ReplyDeleteOoh I LOVE this Kat. Gorgeous design, loving these apron shaped cards. Might have to CASE this for a 'chef' friends birthday later in the year. Just gorgeous. Hugs, Wends x
ReplyDeleteLOVE this....do you have a template for the apron....I have an apron for me and my Granddaughter....mine says Cookie maker....hers says cookie taster....would love to make a card for her ...Thanks
ReplyDeleteDoes this card fold - have an attached back so it stands up? Is it cut from one paper and folder at top or are two aprons wired together with the ribbon at top?
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel,
DeleteThe card has a fold down the left hand side, so it's a regular side folded card cut from a single piece of card, with both layers cut to shape.
I hope that explains it ok!
Kat x
