Fairy Hugs

Hello lovely people,

I see I have a few new followers so just want to say welcome and it's so lovely to have you along for the ride :-)

I  have added a new fairy to my collection; I just couldn't resist getting one from the newest release at Tiddly Inks although it was tough to stop myself buying the whole lot!

I tend to make a beeline for my pink DP where fairies are concerned ...ok, maybe for quite a lot of my cards ;-)  I distressed the edges of the DP with my new Tim Holtz distressing tool - certainly a lot easier than using scissors!

I added quite a lot of glamour dust to her wings because fairies should really sparkle :-)  Isn't she just the cutest thing?

I thought this image would make a lovely 'get well soon' card but instead of using that wording for the sentiment I have used some of the tiny LOTV tags to give the same idea.

Card recipe;
DP: Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics (available from LLC)
Lace: from stash
Flowers: from Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearls: from The Hobby House

Copic colours;
Skin: E0000/000/00/51 & R30
Hair: E42/43/44
Dress: RV91/93/95
Wings: RV0000/000/91
Branch: E40/41/41
Bird / egg: B91/93
Leaves: YG61/63
Nest: E44/47

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges;

1.  In the Pink (pink and pearlie)
2.  Tiddly Inks (fairy or mermaid)
3.  Bunny Zoe (pink and white)
4.  As You Like It (favourite occasion - to cheer someone up or say get well soon or just because - the ones that people don't expect are the nicest!)

Well, I don't know about you but I am ready for a relaxing sunny weekend with a few cheeky G&Ts whilst catching up with friends - perfect!

Thanks so much for visiting,

Hugs,
Kat xx

  7. Hi Kat...

    Such a gorgeous little fairy sitting on her branch... and of course, her wings do have to have the sparkle you've given them! You've matched her colouring perfectly with the papers too.. the layout is simple and perfect!

    Thanks for sharing at In The Pink this time.. good luck!

  11. This color is what I call my pink purple. I have blue purple, too. Hahahha. This is an awesome image and the color is gorgeous. I adore pink and purples so when I get the chance to use pink purple, I'm in heaven. Your sewing is outstanding...so nice looking...I'm envious (in a good way). This image is cute, your coloring is what makes it wonderful, though. Love your art and look forward to following your blog. --Gail
