Wedding fun

Hello lovely people,

I have a Dies to Die For DT card for you today and I thought I'd have a play with another new Stamping Bella image, especially since it is pretty much wedding season now.

Oh, these cheeky little chicks always make me giggle!

I am never too sure about yellow colour combos for these guys though, so I tested about a dozen and found a few I liked, but this was my fave.

I also struggle to think what colours to use for cake so thanks to Elaine (Marker geek) for giving me inspiration for this colour combo; I would never have thought to use B60 in the mix but it works perfectly!

Apologies to all those I keep on tempting but that little clip is from another newly acquired MFT die set...another 'must have' - lol!

Studying hard

Hello lovely people,

Is everyone getting nice and warm now?!  I am soooooo hoping for a long sunny bank holiday weekend :-)

This is the last DT card I have made so far for the launch of all those fabulous new LOTV images.  I am not surprised that they have been hugely popular so far.  I know there are loads more I can't wait to use!

This is a fantastic image for good luck cards and especially at this time of year as many kids/teenagers start to get their heads down and study for exams...I'm glad those days are behind me - lol!

Jasmine seems to have it all under control with everything organised and her books carefully marked with little flags.  I used to do that too!

I found the perfect little tab detail in one of my MFT Blueprint sets.  I absolutely love how useful these are and can feel a new addiction coming on!

The sentiment banner is from a different MFT Blueprints set...see, sooooo useful!

More new LOTV: Two's company

Hello lovely people,

Ok, I promised you all I would have another LOTV Design Team project for you on Sunday, but realised I had another blog post scheduled for then, so I delayed it until today.

This one uses many of the same elements as my card from Saturday, but a slightly simpler design with no stitching.

I think you'll agree that the image is just as super cute though!

I added a fab set of stitched basic and scalloped edges by MFT (of course!) to my collection a few weeks ago so thought I'd take the opportunity to use them on this design :-)

I wish you all a great week ahead even if you have to work...I know I do!

Sweet pea slumber

Hello lovely people,

We have a new 'Use any image' challenge starting over on The Ribbon Girl blog, so you can enter with any type of project as long as you include an image.
There are loads of fab prizes up for grabs too :-)

I am still working my way through using all the amazing recent-ish images from LOTV and isn't this wee mouse just adorable?

The edge die was one of a few Crafter's Companion edges I bought recently, and this one is definitely my favourite.  The 'waste' pieces included a couple of cute swirls that were perfect to tuck in around the flowers...not that you can see where they came from because it's quite a deep edge and I only left a little bit peeking out!

LOTV launch; birthday treats!

Hello lovely people,

I am off to the in-laws for the weekend and am taking my Copics with me - lol!

Today is a very exciting day as it is release day for a whole heap of gorgeous new images from LOTV :-)

So of course, I have a DT card to showcase one of the new images...

This is a new character and she has the cutest little bear friend!

I've added my usual layers and stitching but kept the embellishments sweet and simple.

I used the balloon dies from the Adorable Elephants set but cut off the strings and added the longer thinner strings from the Blueprints set; there's nothing like making life complicated is there?!

Tune back in tomorrow for another card featuring a different image with this little pair of sweeties!

I hope you all have a fab weekend whatever you are up to :-)

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,

Stitched floral tags

Hello lovely people,

I have a Dies to Die For DT project for you today and I thought I'd do something other than a card so I made a set of cute floral tags.

Floral tags using MFT Blueprints and stitched flowers

"Is that yet more new MFT stuff I see there?" I hear you ask...

...well, yes it is because I couldn't resist the fab Blueprints tag sets!

...and these stitched flowers are pretty awesome too don't you think?!

It was a very grey day when I made these so I reached for the most colourful papers I could find!
